I know that we’re supposed to live by faith and everything, but what if you have doubt?   I believe and know what the bible says, but I still doubt sometimes.  I know that I need to get rid of it, but how do I do that?

This is something that a lot of Christians go through at some point in their spiritual walk with God.  And you’re right, your faith can’t work if you have doubt, so you need to get rid of it.

Because we live in this world, we have to keep our minds renewed and set on the things of God.  Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”  So, how do we keep our minds renewed and have the perfect will of God in our lives?  By staying in the word.  That means everyday making the choice to spend time in the word and prayer.

Romans 10:17 says, “So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”  So, not only do you need to stay in the word daily,  but you need to speak it constantly. Whatever battle you’re using your faith for, find a few scriptures to stand on.  Then, speak those verses everyday, 10 times a day.  Faith comes by hearing, so get rid of the doubt by speaking the word.  Keep speaking and eventually it will drop in your heart and then there can be no doubt.

Let me end with this...Remember that God cannot lie.  He will do what He said He would do.  He is faithful and you can trust in Him.  He will never let you down and He’ll always love you.
